A roadmap is a plan of the features to be added to an application. Each project in SpecFuse has a roadmap. This view provides an excellent overall summary of the open specs on the project grouped by their release. Each specification can easily be dragged and dropped to a new location to change its release or priority within the roadmap.
Releases
For easier management of your development and planning your software product, specs can be optionally grouped into distinct releases. Releases can be given a name and version number to help you keep track and you can add as many or as few specs to each release as you like.
Specs can be given a specific release when they are first created, but this is not compulsory. You can update the release later either by editing the spec and selecting the release, or by using the roadmap.
When your project is first created, a default release will be created to get you started. You can edit this release to change the name, version number and goal, or delete it altogether.
Version numbers
Version numbers on releases are used to determine the order they appear on the roadmap, and the order they appear for selection when creating or editing a spec.

Continuous deployment
If you release your software continuously with each new feature, you might like to think of releases simply as milestones - points in time when you agree you have completed all features that had a particular theme or association.
